Vera Moura

Collaborator

Vera Moura completed her BSc degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences and her PhD in Pharmaceutical Technology from the University of Coimbra, Portugal, in the area of targeted therapies in Oncology.

 

She is co-author of two patents granted in USA and of scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals.

 

She was awarded with the best thesis award 2011 (2nd place) from the Portuguese Society of Pharmaceutical Sciences (SPCF) and the Spanish-Portuguese Local Chapter of Controlled Release Society (SPLC-CRS). As co-author of the project Smart Medicines, she was awarded in the Entrepreneurship contests “Arrisca Coimbra 2009” and “Idea to Product 2010 (I2P)”.

 

She is the co-founder and CEO of TREAT U, S.A. (www.treatu.pt) and is planing the Clinical Trials of PEGASEMP™.

Rui Lopes
PhD
 

Rui Lopes completed his degree in Biochemistry at Faculty of Science and his PhD in Pharmaceutical Technology at Faculty of Pharmacy from the University of Lisbon, Portugal, in the area of non-conventional nanoformulations (liposomes and solid lipid nanoparticles) for the treatment of infectious diseases (Leishmaniasis).

 

He is co-author of scientific publications in international peer-reviewed journals and yielded several oral communications and posters in national and international conferences.

 

He collaborated in several research projects related with the development of lipid based drug delivery systems at “New forms of Bioactive Agents Unit” of the former Instituto Nacional de Engenharia e Inovação (INETI) and later at the Nano Drug Delivery Systems Group of the Instituto de Investigação do Medicamento (iMed.UL), at the Faculty of Pharmacy of Lisbon.

Nuno Fonseca
PharmD, PhD
Collaborator

Nuno Fonseca has an MSc in Pharmaceutical Sciences conferred by the Faculty of Pharmacy of University of Coimbra, in 2009 and a PhD in Pharmaceutical Technology by the University of Coimbra in 2015.

 

His field of research is focused on development of novel strategies to overcome tumor drug resistance and is currently working at TREAT U, S.A.

 

During his work, he has been co-authoring several scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals and two book chapters. He is also co-author of a PCT.

Ana Gregório
PhD
Collaborator

Ana Gregório completed her BSc degree in Biochemistry from the University of Évora, Portugal, after which she worked as a research fellow integrated in projects in the areas of immunology (IBMC, Porto) and neurosciences (IGC, Lisbon).

In 2010, she enrolled to the doctoral programme PDBEB from the Center for Neurosciences and Cell Biology in Coimbra, where she performed her PhD in the area of targeted therapies in cancer.
